North Station

In November 2011, thanks to the Assistance to Firefighters Station Construction Grant (ARRA-SCG) under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the North Station was opened. Biggersville Fire & Rescue was the only recipient of the ARRA-SCG in the State of Mississippi. The award is the largest AFG/FEMA grant awarded in the history of Alcorn County.
The North Station is a 3-bay drive-thru station design with living quarters, a full kitchen, day room, restrooms, storage area, dedicated helipad, decontamination facilities, and the Biggersville Training Center. This Training Center will be available to our community for training classes, elections and many more events. Monthly training classes will be taught an no expense to the public and will include classes like CPR, Basic First Aid, and Operation of a Fire Extinguisher. The bay areas will be equipped with state-of-the-art diesel exhaust ventilation systems, automatic door timers and solar efficient lighting.
Helipad Information:
All visitng flight crews are requested to review this information. Safe arrival, departure and ground operations of the aircraft are our primary concern. Since the Biggersville North Station is a 100% volunteer station, ground personnel may or may not be available to assist incoming flight teams.
